"Harnessing old and new media in Employer Branding" Mike Beeley - Born in the UK in 1964 and migrating to Australia in 1989, Mike has spent the last 20+ years helping global and local organisations understand their EVP and how to market their employment proposition to their target audiences through traditional and emerging media. In 1992 Mike started Beeley Callan Advertising, selling it to the global ad agency Euro RSCG in 1997 and then helping them build the operation for 10 years in Australia and overseas to 50 staff and $30m turnover. In 2007 Mike left to start his next venture, ReAgent Employer Marketing, in Brisbane and Sydney with plans to roll out offices across Australia and SE Asia over the next few years. Mike has helped organisations across all industries in the private and public sectors, showing them how to build the skills and resources to ‘farm’ talent through employer branding and talent experience management.
"Building an employer brand that aligns with your corporate and consumer brands" Kellie Tomney is the Executive Manager Recruitment and Branding Strategy for St.George Bank. She developed the St.George Employer Brand and various market leading initiatives to ensure St.George lead the market in talent attraction and acquisition. She also leads the Award winning onsite recruitment team for the Bank. She has always had a passion for people and brands and has worked with great organisational brands across different industries. She started her career with Lion Nathan where she progressed through generalist, specialist and business partner roles and was very much part of the significant cultural transformation that they achieved. Mext have introduced market research based on Morphological Psychology to Australia in 2003 and successfully applied it to a wide range of national and international clients. Before founding mext, Stefan has had a highly successful international career as Creative Director and Strategy Director across Asia-Pacific and European markets, developing award winning creative work and effective brands. His roles include Creative and Strategy Director for Indochina at Bates Hong Kong and Head of Strategy at BBDO Germany as well as Clemenger BBDO. In 2000 Ken established his own consultancy practice, Banyan Management Services Pty Ltd which offers highly specialised consulting in change management for various industries together with mentoring of CEO’s in the field of management and Risk Management. He has a belief that people matter and effective change cannot be accomplished without winning the hearts and minds of an organization. In 2007 he embarked on a major study of generational change in Australia and the effects on business, this study is now complete and he is a well sort out speaker at International and national events on his findings. Ken has just completed his first book called “From Coal Dust to Gold Dust” based on his life and reflections as a corporate trouble-shooter and regularly writes articles for a number of national publications on a range of topics.
"Enhancing your Employer Brand through best practice, integrated career development, performance management and learning and development programs" Craig Aunger is the lead consultant at Pinpoint HRM and been involved in the management, sale, justification, implementation of and consulting on e-Recruitment software since 1999. He worked for two Australian e-Recruitment software vendors, where he was directly involved in more than 30 sales to large companies. Since 2003 Craig has lead more than 20 consulting projects for Pinpoint HRM with some of Australia's largest employers including the Victorian Public Service, NAB and Transfield Services. These projects include recruitment strategy development, e-Recruitment selection and implementation and HR technology integration. His team also assist more than 20 clients (such as Deloitte and Holden) to optimise a range of e-Recruitment systems on an ongoing basis.
"Graduate talent - Global and mobile" Heather Disher started the first nine years of her business life in the advertising industry, agency, television and radio before heading up a Melbourne operation for an Information organisation before she moved to London to manage a global business and then to the USA to set up and run the head office for an IT start up. "Alife journey" Troy Jones - Managing Director, Lifeworks Media Pty Ltd Troy Jones is co-Founder and Managing Director of Lifeworks Media Pty Ltd the creator of ALife. "Employment trends in Asia-Pacific" Victoria Bethlehem - Director of People & Development, Vedior Asia Pacific Victoria was born in Malaysia and grew up in Greece before moving to Australia with her New Zealand parents. After completing her studies Victoria worked in the tourism industry for four years before travelling and working overseas for seven years. It was whilst overseas that Victoria joined the recruitment industry and is now in her 14th year. Victoria’s recruitment experience spans across business operations as well as infrastructure. Victoria is at present the Director of People and Development for Vedior Asia Pacific and is responsible for HR strategy, internal recruitment, learning and development and quality functions.
"Leveraging online as part of your candidate attraction strategy" Dawn Tingwell joined CareerOne.com.au in October 2006 and is responsible for sales strategy and execution across the business. Her professional career spans online, newspapers and magazines with a focus on sales management, sales process improvement and customer development. Dawn commenced her career as Senior Account Manager with Reader’s Digest before moving to Fairfax in 1991 where she assumed the role of Deputy Advertising Manager for the Sydney Morning Herald. Over Dawn’s seven years with this company, where she was promoted from National Advertising Manager to Acting Advertising Director, Dawn developed an area of expertise in recruitment/employment advertising. She has successfully helped develop and launch over 14 new or revamped sections of the paper. In 1998 Dawn moved to ACP working as Advertising Publisher AWW and in 2000 to AllAdvantage.com initially in the capacity of Sales and Marketing Director prior to being promoted to the capacity of Managing Director. Prior to commencing with News Limited as Field Sales Strategy Manager, Dawn worked for FPC Courier (who publishes magazines such as 9TO5 and The Wentworth Courier) as Group Advertising Director and Group Publisher – City Titles.

Paul has an organizational psychology background and has worked in human resources in New Zealand and Australia for 15 years. For the last six years Paul has worked with employers in the areas of recruitment strategy, candidate pipeline generation and screening, and recruitment technology implementation and enablement. Paul has maintained a blog on recruitment innovations for the past couple of years and is a founder of NZ Recruitment 2.0 , an online social network for people who share an interest in the bigger picture of recruitment in a New Zealand context.

In his long and distinguished career, from FMCG, Tourism to selling cars he’s gathered a truckload of awards on the way. Steve comes from a very solid strategic brand background and a keen eye for creative and strategic campaigns that produce results. Kara McLeod (Brand and Strategy) cut her teeth in the world of advertising in the UK, was quickly fast tracked in her career and sent to the likes of Moscow, Guangzhou and Shanghai for her reward. Having spent the best part of 10 years gaining integrated marketing, advertising and branding skills, she moved into employment marketing on her return back to Australia. Embracing employer branding as her true calling, she has been finely honing her skills to develop simple how-to frameworks for helping clients to understand the overall end to end employer branding process and strategy. From 2005 to August 2008, Gareth worked for Alexander Mann Solutions and was responsible for the operational management of the ANZ and Deutsche Bank Resourcing centres. ANZ is one of the world’s largest and most complex RPO solutions managing the recruitment of 7000+ hires per annum as well as the Internal Mobility, Career Support and redeployment function. Gareth has extensive financial services experience gained since his move to Australia and has a passion for supply chain and sourcing channel optimization. Gareth has a BA (Hons) in Politics, Philosophy & Economics from York University in the UK and in 2003; Gareth obtained his MBA from Melbourne Business School.
Tim Way, Director Asia is based in Singapore and has over ten years experience in the staffing sector and has worked in Europe, Australia and Asia. He has helped companies such as HP, SAP and CSC build recruitment infrastructure and capability. During his lengthy career in resourcing he has developed significant expertise in change and project management within large organisations. Tim’s previous roles have included the Asia Pacific Head of Recruitment for Hewlett Packard (via Alexander Mann Solutions) and the Asia Pacific Lead for Resourcing for SAP based in Singapore. Prior to working in the resourcing sector, Tim was an officer in the British Army.

Eugenio Amendola is the Managing Director of Anthea Consulting, a HR consulting firm specializing in employer brand management, reruitment and campus recruiting strategies. With the experience of a 10 year career in HR consultancy Eugenio led a number of employer branding projects for leading multinational companies. Eugenio is a frequent speaker and author of articles on employer branding. He has collaborated on the book “New trends in coaching” with a focus on the interaction between coaching and employer branding. He is engaged in writing a new book “Employer branding-New Trends in Corporate Recruiting” which will be published in June 2008. Eugenio is also a Senior Associate of the Employer Brand Institute.
